God of the Pod inc Rotorstock 9 - Saturday 18th August 2012
This is the ultimate track day event at Santa Pod Raceway, no matter what car you drive. The event is all about finding the “God of The Pod” by testing entrant’s performance on the dragstrip and the huge handling track. The competition is open to everyone, and it doesn’t matter how fast or slow your car is to take part.
Rotorstock 9 is incorporated into the God of the Pod event, and the gauntlet is down for any piston-powered cars to take on the rotary-powered motors.
So if you own a VW a Ford a Vauxhall an American car or whatever, this is the event to take to the tracks or just hang out and watch the racing. GOTP plays host two both the Jap Drag Series and the Euro Sports Compact series, where the fastest modified cars in the UK take part in real drag racing competition.

Drag Racing: Real drag racing with qualifying and eliminations with round two of the Jap Drag Series and Euro Sports Compact series.
Jap Drag Series: The UK’s fastest modified cars compete in a four-class championship. Incorporating the FWD class, Street Class, Factory Modified and 200mph Pro class, these monstrous versions of familiar Japanese cars will take your breath away.

Euro Sports Compact: In the Euro Sports Compact Drag Series at Santa Pod Raceway the best tuned cars from European manufactures go head to head in a battle to find our continent’s king. Euro Sports Compact is for European cars with European bodies and engines from 4 to 6 cylinders, with open tyre choice. Cars typically run 10 to 12 second quarter miles at 130mph plus. Run What Ya Brung Competition: Get your car on the famous ¼ mile dragstrip. Trophies for the top cars in class. £25 for unlimited runs on the dragstrip including full performance print-outs for each run.

Huge Handling Circuit: Fancy getting some serious cornering G-forces? Well, God Of The Pod offers Santa Pod’s biggest handling test all season with a huge high-speed track that mixes sweeping curves with tight technical chicanes. Free entry! More info coming soon. |

God of the Pod Competition: Score points for times set on both the dragstrip and the Handling Circuit. Only drivers able to put in a good performance on both tracks will stand a chance of being crowned God Of the Pod.
